The system allows you to set up a Rental that includes various price categories, all within the same setup. This means that you can include an Hourly, Half Day, Full Day, AND multi-day or overnight price categories. This article explains the difference between adding a Daily price or an Overnight price.
Difference between Daily and Overnight
When you are setting up your rentals, knowing how you think about a multi-day rental is the important difference between the Daily or Overnight option. This is a preference per the rental business and the reason why we have given two options. You will only pick one option during setup. Daily will count the number of DAYS the rental is booked, and nightly will count the number of NIGHTS the rental is booked. Explained further in the examples below.
Pontoon rental offers a multi-day overnight option where a customer can book 1 - 7 nights. The setup looks like this:
During Checkout, the customer selects the Multi-Day Length and the number of nights. In the example below, the guest is booking 2 nights, so the pickup will be on Sat, 9/26 and return will be on Mon, 9/29. The pricing will be Multi-Day rate x 2 (nights).
Using the same example as above, but changing the setup so the Multi-Day rate is a Daily rate, and the End Time is End of Day. The Daily option will count each day of the rental.
